Sea turtles are under a lot of threat because of humans. In some populations there has been seen up to 90% decline in turtle populations. Some things humans are doing to make turtles lives a threat is, increased human development that destroys nesting habits and causes very few of baby turtles to live. Another reason whys turtles lives are a threat is because of egg poachers. Turtles eggs bring in more then 3 times the income for egg poachers. In 1988 only one baby leather back sea turtle made it out to see because of egg poachers.

I chose this article because sea turtles lives are in danger and people dont even realize it. One thing most interesting about the article is that 90% of some turtle populations are gone.
